1. Project Overview

To complete their ecosystem, Cairo Today launched an educational arm. They required a robust Learning Management System (LMS) where instructors could host video courses and students could track their progress and earn certificates.

2. The Challenge

• User Roles: The system needed to distinguish between “Instructors” (who can upload) and “Students” (who can watch), with different dashboards for each.

• Engagement: Online courses often suffer from low completion rates. The design needed to encourage students to finish their lessons.

3. Our Design Thinking (The “Why”)

• Visual Strategy: A “Distraction-Free” learning mode. When a student enters a lesson, the header, footer, and sidebars disappear, leaving only the video player and course notes to maximize focus.

• UX Focus: We designed a “My Learning” dashboard that clearly visualizes progress bars, giving users a psychological urge to reach 100%.

• Tech Stack: WordPress, LMS Plugin (TutorLMS), Video Hosting Integration.

  • Drip Content: We configured the system to release lessons on a schedule (or only after the previous lesson is completed) to ensure structured learning.
