Marble Design is a heavyweight in the Egyptian natural stone market, with over 70 years of combined experience. They needed a digital platform that could handle the dual nature of their business: inspiring local homeowners with luxury interiors while simultaneously acting as a detailed catalog for international importers looking for raw granite and marble blocks.
Visualizing Texture: Marble and granite are tactile products. A standard photo doesn’t capture the “feeling” of the stone. We needed a way to showcase the intricate veins and textures online.
The “Hybrid” User: The site had to appeal to a wealthy homeowner wanting a chic kitchen countertop and a construction contractor needing 500 tons of granite blocks.
Localization: With a strong export focus on Eastern Europe and the Gulf, the site required seamless localization (especially in Russian) beyond just Google Translate.
Visual Strategy:
Texture-First UI: We used a dark, elegant interface for the “Interiors” section to make the colors of the stone pop, similar to a jewelry store display.
Massive Imagery: We avoided small thumbnails. Instead, we utilized full-width galleries that allow users to zoom in on the stone patterns (Onyx, Mica, Hashma).
UX Focus:
Categorization Logic: We split the massive inventory into “Applications” (Stairs, Kitchens, Walls) and “Raw Materials” (Blocks, Slabs). This allows a homeowner to shop by use and an importer to shop by material type.
Direct WhatsApp integration: Since stone orders require custom measurements, we prioritized “Chat Now” buttons over standard “Add to Cart” functions to bridge the gap between browsing and negotiation.
Tech Stack: WordPress, WPML (for Multilingual support – AR/EN/RU), High-Performance Image Optimization.
Technical Solutions:
Multilingual Architecture: We built the site with distinct cultural interfaces. The Russian version, for example, is optimized for export terminology, while the Arabic version focuses more on installation services.
Dynamic Gallery Filtering: A custom filtering system allows users to sort through hundreds of stone types without page reloads, keeping the experience fluid.
Mobile Optimization for Site Visits: Recognizing that architects and contractors view the site from construction zones, we ensured the mobile version is lightweight despite the heavy image content.
Trilingual Support (AR/EN/RU): Opening doors to the Russian export market.
Export Hub: A dedicated section showcasing shipping capabilities and raw block specifications.
Interactive Counters: Highlighting “70+ Years Experience” and “400+ Completed Projects” to build immediate authority.
Stone Library: A categorized digital warehouse of Egyptian Granite, Imported Marble, and Exotic Onyx.
Marble Design now possesses a digital asset that works as hard as they do. The site has streamlined their export inquiries by providing detailed specs upfront, while the elegant gallery showcases have increased inquiries for high-end residential projects in Egypt.
